Would appreciate hearing from anyone whose family moved from Screven County to Decatur County in 1827. My gg-gdfather, Douglas Black (1803-1855) moved there at that time and it appears quite a large group came with him. So far, I have:

1. Douglas Black (on Tax records 1827, Capt. Douglass' Dist)
2. William Scott, SR. ?
3. Richard Rogers/Rodgers
4. Alexander Douglas
5. David Emanuel
6. John Bell (Burie?)
7. David Swicord
8. David Waters
9. Isreal Zeigler
10. William Way

No's 3 thru 10 taken from Hollingsworth files.

William A. Black, brother to my Douglas Black, married Edith Rodgers 25 Dec 1825 in Decatur County. Edith was daughter of Ledford Rogers (b. 1786) and Martha.
