"Lucas Zeigler b. 15 Aug 1744 Salzburg, Austria, d 14 Nov 1813 Screven Co., came to America in 1754 with his father, John Michael Zeigler (baptized in Salzburg 5-4-1696) and mother Agnesia Gormann Zeigler. They settled at Ebenezer, near Savannah, GA. Lucas Zeigler m. 25 June 1768 to Salome Zettler. His second marriage to Anna Bwntz b. 1730 Germany. Their son, Israel Zeigler, b. 27 Aug 1793 Screven Co., d. 1833 Decatur County. Their daughter, Louisa Zeigler b. 7 Nov 1829, d. 17 Oct 1901, married 6 April 1849 to Noel Gainey b. 1814 Cherow Co., NC, d. 1889 Decatur County. They are both buried Greenshade Cemetery near Fowlstown, GA.
