He shown in 1930 census of Decatur Co. as age 32, filling station owner, she as age 31, with children Hazel, age 10, Bettie Jean, age 2, and nephew Carlton Smith, age 17. Josie was daughter of John J. Anderson and Rachel Taylor of Mitchell and Decatur Cos., GA. Social Security Death Index shows one Josie Pope, born 10 Feb 1898, died Jan 1984, place not shown.
