Jennifer: I couldn't find anything about George Lyman Wilson, just some facts about his father, George Washington Wilson. He and his wife Martha J. Wilson are both buried in New Hope Cemetery, Dunwoody, DeKalb Co., GA. George's birth and death dates are 9-16-1857 and 2-13-1924; Martha's are 4-11-1856 and 1-20-1909. You can see them yourself at the DeKalb History Center website (http://www.dekalbhistory.org/04_archives/online_databases.asp). I could locate George W. Wilson in just two censuses: In 1880, he was living in Doraville, DeKalb Co., in the 686th Dist. Both he and Martha were 22, and they had just one child, son William born February that year. In the household was George's mother, Millie (it looks like Millia too), a widow aged 52. In 1870, Milly Wilson was living in the Cross Keys Dist. of DeKalb Co., a widow even then. It's likely her husband died in the Civil War. She had four children: Bradley F., 22; Margaret E, 17; William, 15; and George W., 12. You can see George W. Wilson's death certificate at the Georgia Virtual Vault website (http://content.sos.state.ga.us/cdm4/gadeaths.php). His parents were G. W. Wilson and Millie Harris, and it's possible that the informant for his death certificate was a daughter, Mrs. B. E. Bowen. It looks as though she lived right by him before he died. I hope this helps.
