Thank you so very much for the good, no great, information! I have been in touch with Hazel Berry's daughter - we didn't know anything about the kids from the second marriage, and suddenly through using www.google.com "advanced search" and "exact phrase" - I typed in Hazel Berry (I thought that was her married name, but no proof - just old notes from a now deceased Aunt!) and lo and behold the obituary came up -then I went on the yahoo.com white pages and looked up Stephenson in Oak Ridge - just started calling - and it was the right one! I was sooo excited. Now I hope to get the Brantley/Chester family figured out - I did see Lula Vaden Brantley - she may be kin to the Lula I seek, but I don't think is the correct one, but your info says she married Isaac T. Chester - so perhaps she is the correct one. Anyway - I am trying to sort them out...so far no connection to Antoinette Elizabeth Brantley has come up. However, it is interesting to note that my grandmother's name was Lula Allen, daughter of Dennis Collins Allen and Orpha Eldora Heath.... do you think they picked that out because of a family connection - it wouldn't surprise me!..but Lula was of the FIRST WIFE and not the second....oh well, D.C.Allen could still have suggested that name - he knew the Brantley's long before he married Atoinette! D.C. Allen, Orpha Eldora Heath Allen, and Antoinette Elizabeth Brantley Allen are all buried in Atlanta - I have all that information. My brother said he remembers my mother telling him they were buried in Atlanta, even tho' they didn't die there - D.C. died in Miami,FL and Orpha died in Georgia where she went to care for him when he was hurt in a construction accident. I believe Antoinette died in FL also as that is where she lived. I am surprised that Antoinette is shown as living in Fulton County, GA in the 1910 Census, but that may pinpoint a marriage date for me....as Orpha Eldora Heath Allen (first wife) died in Feb. 1908 and the children seemed to resent their father marrying so soon after! I guess the family was living in East Point,GA where D.C. had a home. All this leaves a lot of fun things for me to consolidate! And more questions to answer - always interesting ahead!
