information on Georgia Land Lotteries can be obtained from
the Georgia Department of Archives and History, 5800 Jonesboro Rd, Morrow, GA. You must submit their form, which is downloadable from their website, with the same information in your inquiry with the appropriate funds and wait about 2 weeks and you will receive a response. If your
ancestor drew the lot you will receive a record which contains a certificate and description of the lot; if not they will tell you whether lot was reverted back to the state. I have ordered several from the State.
