St. Johns, b. 1859, d. bef. 1870 Lucinda J. St. Johns, b. 1860 Henry St. Johns, b. 1862 Sophronia C. St. Johns, b. 1862 Thomas F. St. Johns, b. 1864 John M. St. Johns, b. 1867 Lewis B. St. Johns, b. 1869 I have two Confederate War records for William. He enlisted 23 April 1862 in Co.G, 7th Florida at Camp Lee,(Gainesville) Fl, 23 April 1862. This is same unit in which his bro-in-law, John B. Davis, enlisted. Notation on his enlistment states he deserted 30 April 1863. The second record indicats he enlisted 17 May 1862 in Co. D, 32nd Reg't GA. Infantry at Albany,Dougherty County, GA and served until the end of the war when his unit was paroled at Greensboro, North Carolina 1 May 1865. He is listed in 1870 U.S. Census in Mitchell Co, GA. I have been unable to find this family after that census. Did they remain in GA? I do have information on his son, William E. St. Johns that moved to Florida ca. 1900 and will gladly share. Question: Is this same family as Eddie St. Johns, wife, Frances. Children: George, Salley, Willie, Earley and Wade Hampton later living in Dougherty County? Wish to correspond with any descendants. Thank you. Barbara
