Looking for the connection between the Bowman's that were in Dougherty Co., Georgia (F.J. Bowman who marries M.L.Carter 1891, Frank Bowman who marries Henrietta Jeffers 1874, Rosy Ann Bowman who marries a Elijah Puckett 1867) these all occured in Dougherty Co. Georgia)These Bowman's were married in Irwin Co., Georgia (Samuel Bowman who marries Charlotte Simmons 1855, Andrew J. Bowman who marries Margaret Hamon(Haman)1853, (Margaret Haman is the sister to Zilly Haman who marries Earnest Courtoy 1852 in Irwin Co.). I believe the Samuel Bowman and the William Bowman listed above, then move to Gadsden County, Florida. Both Samuel and William enlist as confederates in Florida. Have found William returns to Gadsden Florida, where he ultimately ends up appling for pension in 1909. The Samuel Bowman, I lose track of (I believe that Charlotte may have passed away) until he returns to Dougherty Co., GA and marries the daughter of Earnest and Zilly Courtoy in 1896. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
