Brooks family 1860s, 1870s, Blakely(?)

I'm looking for information on a man named John (?) Brooks who I believed in Early County, Georgia. He fought in and survived the Civil War. There was a daughter named Clara Elizabeth who was born right before or after he left. She married a man by the name of Burus and I believe they stayed in the Georgia area. According to my great aunt he is buried in the Blakely town cemetary "right at the front" or what would've been the front in the 1920s. Any information on either John or Clara. Thank you
K Newcomb
