Full title, "The Georgia Dutch: From the Rhine and Danube to the Savannah, 1733-1783"
I just wanted to share this with researchers of Colonial German Settlers in Effingham and surrounding counties. This book is very well researched and gives a well written account of why the Germans and Swiss came to Georgia and how they settled in upon arrival. The author gives a lot of information about families that settled around Ebenezer. The book was published in 1992 by the University of Georgia Press, Athens.
I believe the author was a Professor of History at the University of Maryland.
The book is available through several sources including the Georgia Salzburger Society and Williow Bend Books
