Seeking info on the origins of all Kings who lived in early Elbert Co., GA. My ancestor Catharine King was born 1800 in Maryland, married 1824 in Elbert to William Loftis, born 1799 in Virginia. What is the relationship between Elisha, William and Ambrose King as shown in Elbert Co. Deed Book O, page 114: Ambros (Ambrose?)King and Frances Bundren of Rockingham Co., NC appoint their trusty friend Zachariah King of Patrick Co., VA to collect money from the sale of Elisha King's estate, 21 Dec 1812.
Witnesses: Robert King, Leander Bundren. Proved by Robert King and Leander Bundren 1 Mar 1813 before John Upshaw, J.I.C., recorded 26 Apr 1813. In Elbert Will Book 1809-13, Administrators and Guardians Bonds, page 259, William King and James Mills appointed Administrators of the estate of Elisha King, deceased. Elbert Co. deed records show an Ambrose King residing in Elbert Co. on 9 Mar 1822 when he purchased 222 acres on Doves Creek waters from William King(Deed Bk T, pg. 22).My email yonahdells@windstream.net
