There is no Alexander Jordan/Jordon/Jorden in the early deed records of Elbert Co. There was an Absolom Jordan who was in Elbert Co. in 1794 but no further reference to him in deed books. There was an Abner Jordan in early deed records as well as many referemces to John and James Jordan. Also there is no Alexander Jordan/Jordon in the deed records of Wilkes Co., GA between 1784-1806. Elbert Co. was created in Dec. 1790 from Wilkes Co. Absolom Jourdan with eight in family received a land grant in Elbert Co. on 6 Aug 1792. Elbert Co. Will book B, page 39, shows the Will of Absolom Jorden, signed 8 Oct 1792, proved 25 Jul, 1798, leaves property to wife Mary, sons George Walton Jorden and Joshua Jorden. Executors were wife and Thomas and Joshua Jorden.
