I am looking to find the parents of John N. Perkins born about 1823 in Tennessee & died after the 1880 census for Floyd County, Georgia but before the 1900 census for Floyd County (his wife Bettie was still alive in this census).
John & Bettie had the following known children:
Constant Marrast Perkins (son) born about 1861
Hattie D Perkins born about 1863
Nicholas 'Nick' P Perkins born about 1866
John P Perkins born about 1869
Walton Perkins born about 1870
Katie Perkins born about 1873
Annie Perkins born about 1875
*All born in Georgia.
In 1870 Annie E. Perkins Smith, born about 1795 North Carolina died before 1880 Floyd County, Georgia, is living with them. Annie is a fourth great-aunt of mine having been married to William R. Smith, 1791 Rutherford County, North Carolina to Robert Sr. & Elizabeth ROBERSON Smith died before the 1870 Rome, Floyd County, Georgia census. I am trying to figure-out if Annie was married to a Perkins before Uncle William & if she is John's mama or if John's father is Aunt Annie's brother.
In 1880 John & Bettie have a Mary Clements living with them, born about 1815 Georgia, listed as 'Mother' but I am not sure if she John's mama or Bettie's.
