Greetings, I am ROYAL FRANCIS (PETE) DAWKINS son of BOBBIE CLAIR OGELSBY and ROY GWEN DAWKINS who is son of ROYAL FRANCIS DAWKINS and TOMIE RIVERS BRYANT who is daughter of ANDREW J. BRYANT and LOUVENIA JULIA ANN TATUM who is daughter of LULIA ANN OWENS and ELISHA TATUM who is son of SUSAN W. ______ (b. ~1811)and JAMES TATUM (b. 1809 Beaufort Co. NC) who is son of NATHANIEL TATUM (b. 1780 Beaufort Co. NC) and W. ______ ____ (b 1787 prob. NC).
This is as far as I go with the Tatums. I can take the Bryants back one more level to John Bryant and Catherine McAdams (and then take her line back a good way into the Whelchels, Davis, Robertson, Stockton etc). I am most interested in both the Tatum line and the Bryant line at present. Most of my Tatum info comes from my cousins book "Andrew J. Bryant and Louvenia Julia Ann Tatum, Their Story including their ancestors and desendants 1685-1991" by Buford Bernard Lankford. I am certainly interested in how this fits with your information, any conflicts, documentation, especially pictures of which I have none beyond Louvenia Ann Tatum (Bryant). I live in North Atl and will be up around the lake in a few weeks to visit the Crossroads cemetery and several others close by with other ancestors. I look forward to hearing from you, Pete
