Mr. Dawkins,

Thank you for your reply. I am descended from the same line as you. My father Furman Clifton Tatum was the son of Charles Erwin Tatum (named after his uncle Erwin Lincoln Tatum who is a brother to your Louvenia). His father was Silas Jackson Tatum, brother of your Louvenia Tatum. Silas's father was Elisha Tatum who married Julia Ann Owen 1st; Elizabeth Hughes 2nd. Elisha is buried at Crossroads Baptist Church cemetery along with his father James Tatum, his 1st wife Julia and a daughter Havannah (never married). At James's gravesite is a marker which commemorates his son Silas who died a POW in Elmira, NY. I believe this marker was placed by someone with the Sons of the Confederacy. James Tatum was married to Susan Westbrook. The Westbrooks and Tatums were among the early settlers in this area. I can show you the church where they were charter members. I have quite a bit of information on this line and would like to share it with you. You may write to me at rsds81867@aol.com

I look forward to hearing from you as I have been unable to document anything concerning Louvenia other than she married Andrew Bryant.

Regards,
Deborah Storey
