This is definitely a hard one. You may already know that Alvis Holbrook shows up on the 1860 Census for Forsyth Co. at 4 mo. old; father Russell b. 1830, mother Frances 23 (1837), brother Leroy 4, (b.1856). There is a book in the Cumming Library, "Migration ofHolbrooks from England to America and Forsyth Cty, GA." by Winnie Tallant (pub. abt. 1980-81). In it Russell Holbrook is the son of Christopher Holbrook (b. 1801-d. 7-19-1863(bur.Bethlehem Bapt. Ch. Cemetery). Also in cemetery: Earl, Edith & Ethel (all born 6/11/1911; each died between Aug.-Sept. 1911); Eunice b. 1909,d. 1910. G.J. (Greensberry Jackson)Holbrook 17 Sept 1837-17Julyl918 Henrietta (Holbrook) Jones 9 Aug 1848-10Aug 1890 Frances Jones 31 Mar 1847-30 Apr 1878 Mary Ann (w/o G.J.) 9 Oct 1838-10 Feb 1921 Sallie (w/o Christopher) age near 100 d. 22 May 1896 (1824-1896). Simon L. 30 Jan 1876-10 May 1949 (Luther Holbrook has monument dedicated to him who helped make possible upkeep of cemetery.) Children of Christopher and Sallie: William 1833, Russell 1834, Harriet 1835, Greenberry Jackson 1837, Robert 1838, Mary 1840, Columbus 1842, Frances 1847, Ale___ 1853. I think the book has the father and/or mother of Christopher, but my time was short, and the way the book is laid out makes it difficult to track back. Maybe another time. Good Luck....
