Dear Laurie Kemp Wicks,
I saw your 1998 question on the Kemp family forum asking about anyone who might have information on parts of your family. I am descended from Moses Kemp who came to Cobb County, GA in or about 1845. He is the brother of John Wesley Kemp (married to Vienna Kemp) who came to Cobb County in or about 1835. Both families show up in the 1850 census and both families are reflected in the church membership records of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in Greenville SC. Let's swap history information; I have begun to research the family history and I've gathered some relevant information that may be helpful to you.
