I'm sorry...don't know anything about a book by Joel. He had never mentioned anything to me about one.

I have seen John's parents listed as John Castleberry and Mary Reed, who were married 29 Jan 1833 in Morgan Co IL, but I won't vouch for that information. You may want to check the Lamar County GenWeb page [http://gen.1starnet.com/] and contact Ron Brothers, who has done a bit of research on this family, several of whom are buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Paris. Ron's family the Reeds were believed to have traveled out of Illinois to Texas with the Duffs and Castleberrys.

If you find a connection to John and Julia, I have a photo of their tombstone at Evergreen.
