I am researching the life and times of Ruby Darby (b.1895 OK d.1936 CA) who was a blues singer/vaudeville performer during the time frame 1915 - 1922. She may have performed in TN and Ga in 1913 - 1914.
Here in Oklahoma, the main statewide newspaper is online and a person can access it at home thru use of their library card. TX has a similar set up as does CO and I believe CA. Other states also.
Does anyone reading this forum know if GA has a similar setup for their newspapers (specifically the Atlanta paper)? If so, would you be willing to do a quick search for me on Ruby Darby for the time fram 1915-1922.
I know she was in Atlanta in August 1915 as I located a newspaper article here in OK where it says she boarded the train to go to Atlanta to work on the souhern vaudeville circuit for several weeks.
Any information appreciated.
