I have been trying to find information on John Arnold who died in Gordon County, Ga around 1899. His wife and children lived in Gilmer County, Ga at the time of his death. It states in the Gordon County paper that he went out to help someone in a buggy where two other people were that had guns and they told John Arnold to stop and when he didn't he was shot in the stomach and later died. I have been trying to find information on this John Arnold but can't find very much on him and don't know if he is the same John Arnold I am researching. All I have been able to find is John Arnold was married in 1880 in Gilmer County, Ga, and by 1900 his wife Georgia Ann Woodring Arnold was alone with 9 children on 1900 census record of Gilmer County,Ga.
John Arnold was my gg-grandfather on my grandparents side of the family.
My name is Barbara Wofford Charles
