Bell/Beal Family of Gilmer County, Georgia

Searching for information regarding any Bell or Beal families that lived in Gilmer County, Georgia, circa 1850 and prior.
My Bell line - Reason Bell, born 1817 in South Carolina, married Louisa - last name unknown. Online information states her maiden name was Donovan. We believe this information is incorrect. Louisa was born about 1820 in South Carolina but we have not been able to prove her maiden name.
Reason Bell and Louisa had Mary, 1838, Martha, 1840, Nettie, 1842, Julia 1844, John, 1848 and James David, 1853. All children were born in Georgia, but we don't have the exact location of their births. We suspect they were born in or near Gilmer County, as the 1850 Gilmer County Census shows the girls to be enrolled in school. No school records for that time period can be found. We know Hiram Bell and Virginia lived in Gilmer County during the same time period, as did a Thomas Bell, but we have yet to find any connection of our Bell line to any other Bell line. We are trying to locate siblings or parents of our Reason Bell (who IS NOT Reason Alexander Bell) and we are also trying to find Louisa's maiden name.
If anyone has any information on this family or any other Bell or Beal family located in or near Gilmer County Georgia, your information might give us clues.
Our Bell family migrated to Cherokee County, Alabama by 1860, then to Calhoun County, Alabama by 1870.
