Virginia, my Dixon family is from Louisiana. I don't have much information on them. My ggrandfather was Riley Dixon, d.o.b. 2/3/1873. His mother was listed as Lenora Mathews and his father was Gallus?, Gallen? Dixon. The name was hard to make out. Riley was married to Celestine Andress and they had 10 children. They were: Wes, Louis, Lenora, Melinda, Cornellia, Esmerelda, Jessie, Lydia, Sarah, and Julia. I can't find any information on Lenora or Gallen? anywhere. I have no idea where they came from or who their parents were. If you should run across any Dixons with a name similar to Gallus? or Gallen? or close to it, would you please let me know? I'd appreciate it so much. Thanks.
