New information! Amanda Johnson was apparently her married name. Birth name was Amanda Jane Elizabeth SUMMERLIN. She was married first to an unknown Johnson, then to John F MAY with whom she had 4 children, then John H Lane whom she had 4 more children.

John May is shown on the 1850 & 1860 census with a woman named Selina/Salina who I believe may be his mother. Her last name on the 1850 census is HENDRICKS and on 1860 census it is HARRISSON. She is shown as widowed.

John and Amanda are the parents of my gr gr grandmother who ended up in FL with her brother and two older sisters. Her sisters never married and are listed as "orphaned".

Any help would be most appreciated!
