I have the parents of Martha Ann Perkins as William and Martha Belcher Perkins of Decatur Ca.,Ga.
I have located the family on 1850 census for Decatur Co.,Ga.,but I do not know where they were before .I haven't done very much research on the Perkins . I have just goten my "Hertiage of Jackson Co.,Fl." and have not found any of the Perkins listed in it,so I will refer back to Decatur Co. when I begin my research on them again . They could have been in Dodge and /or Pulaski ,Co.'s .I will be very happy to share what I have on the Dykes family and what I find on the Perkins & Belchers .
Perhaps you could help me with another family ,I am seeking information on Ollie Smith born about 1888/1890 .He married Annie Elizabeth Joiner ,who was my husbands maternal grandmother .I know that Ollie was in Jacksonville,Fl around 1910/1915,as my mom-in-law & her sister were born during that time period in Jax.I was told by my m-i-l that Ollie was from Glynn Co.,Ga or Camden Co.,Ga. I can't seem to find any trace of him in either county so far .
