I have seen the webpages by Amy Hendrick http://www.rootsweb.com/~gaglynn/history/oglethorpe_hotel_today.htm (great pages, thanks Amy!) but I am trying to find other sources. The short version of my story is I am doing research for a family friend that visited the oglethorpe hotel in the 1940's during his service in WWII, and who has a few stories he remembers about it. He is interested in finding out the true and also any fabled history of the building (especially around the years of it's demise) so that he can write a historical fiction short story. My friend lives in New Mexico, and is in his 80's, so travel is not much of an option. I am trying to help him, but google does have it's limitations.. Anyone who could offer suggestions for online information, as well as anything in print would be appreciated. I also would be willing to travel to Brunswick if there were some large source of info accessible only from BQK (I live in Atlanta). Any help or suggestions would mean alot to my friend. Thanks!
