In a book titled "Gordon County Marriages" my great grand parents are listed:
"William Robertson m. Nannie Hopkins, May 2, 1878. W. S. Hunt, Justice of the Peace." His full name was William Augusta Robertson and she had the middle initial A. Written in her family Bible married at the brides home by Esq. Scott Hunt. Witness: C. L. Sexton, C. E. Hopkins, E. P. Hopkins and M. J. Robertson.
I think that her family might be. Found this in the Gordon, Co, 1860 census:
Hopkins
Wm. 27
Sarah A. 24
Mary A. 5
Candice E. 4
Elijah P. 1
I think the C. E. Hopkins is Candice E. and the E. P. Hopkins is Elijah P.
Does anyone have any ties to these names?
