My Adolphus Taylor was in CO D 8th Georgia Battalion, Gist Brigade Walker Div. Army of Tenn. Hardee's Corp. He enlisted October 11, 1861 at Calhoun, GA and died of Pneumonia, November 19, 1862, at Secessionville, SC.

I have no other information for him, except he was married to Charlotte Bowman. I believe this information is correct because on the next census (1870) she and their three daughters are living in the house of Josiah and Fannie Dillard Bowman. I found his grave next to Fannie and Josiah. His oldest daughter married Augustus Wilson also of Gordon County and their (Gus and Mary) oldest son was my grandfather. This family moved to Arkansas about 1890.
