Barbara, we may have the two Adolphus' straightened out. I believe that my Adolphus was born 1835 and died 1862 in the Civil War, married Charlotte Bowman. I think he was the brother of your William Govan Taylor. William Govan Taylor also had a son named Adolphus (BORN in 1865) and died March 25, 1942. He married Sarah Amanda Jarrett December 24, 1895, who was born August 11, 1872 and died August 12, 1945. Would you check your records for your Adolphus' date of birth and death for me.
