S. Lettie Hewitt

The "S" was for Sharlotte. This information came to me from the Hewitt family in Gordon County, GA.
She was known as Lottie, and this information was passed down through the Hewitt family.
Charlotte is NOT always spelled with a "C." It is also spelled with "S."
The family called her Lottie, but when she moved from Georgia, she became known as Lettie, and it very possible her name was actually Leticia.
Sharlotte Leticia Hewitt
