McHargue/McHarg/McCard YDNA Surname Project

There is a new YDNA surname project for McCards, McHargues and other variations. DNA testing is the latest and best way to find family connections and origins in conjunction with the genealogists paper trail that is currently available. The Y chromosome is passed from father to son indefinitely and by testing this chromosome one is able to trace family connections and often climb that brick wall that drives everyone crazy. This type of testing is done with a painless swab of the inside of the mouth to get the samples. The test in no way compromises your medical privacy as the chromosome tested is the sex chromosome that is passed from father to son. Some interesting results regarding ancient heritage have shown up so far with the McHargues tested. Are these results true for all McHargues, McHargs and close variations? Only more test results of McHargue, McCard males will tell for sure.

The purpose is to find our brick wall, and to connect to other McHargs in Scotland and Ireland. McCards whose family history says they are McHargues are highly encourage to take the test to find out once and for all.
