In Augusta he painted portriats of Hon. John S. Davidson, Pres. of the Ga. Senate---
There are NO Davidson's in the early marriages-which do cover this time period.
Davison- no John
but James 1843, 1872,James M 1833, James M 1852 Reuben 1841 Robert E 1875
No other John Davidson in Greene Co Index.
I am sure some of them did not make it for one reason or another. A lot of early preachers were traveling horse back, and hit a town about once a month. They often did not get around to recording them at all-
