Douglas, Daniel's wife was Lena Whitworth. There is a marriage record for a "Daniel S. Langley" and "Lena Whitworth" in Gwinnett County on 15 Sept 1878 (Marriage Book 5, p. 28). They were still in the county in 1880, and apparently "Lena" was short for Helena. I looked all through the 1870 census for Gwinnett County, but there were no real possibilities for Lena. It could be that she was there but under her other given name. As for Daniel, the only possibility was a Daniel Langley, 14, together with two younger sisters, Caroline, 13, and Ella,11. All three were in the household of a Cashwell Brand, 76. The odd thing was that Daniel was described as a "farmer" and the two girls as "farm laborers," which I take to mean that they were orphans. I couldn't find any possibiities for either Daniel or Lena in 1860 either although there were a number of Langleys and Whitworths in the county. Sorry!
