James W. Rich was born in 1801 in SC. He died in Cass Co. in 1847. He married Charlotte Wofford, daughter of Nathaniel Wofford and Lydia Hopper, on August 8, 1822 in Habersham Co. They later moved to CassCo. (now Bartow Co). They had the following children all born in Habersham Co.:

1) William W. Rich (1823-1891) m. Basheba E. Sisson.
2) Thomas Rich, b. 1825, GA
3) Charles Rich, b. 1827, GA
4) Sarah Rich, b. 1829, GA
5) Lydia Rich, (1829-1880) m. Isaac Washington Baker on 11-7-1849 in Cass Co. GA.
6) Nathaniel Rich, b. 1831, GA
7) James W. Rich, b. 1835, GA
8) Benjamin Rich, b. 1837, GA

Would like to correspond with any descendants of James W. Rich and Charlotte Wofford. Will be glad to share what family information that I have. Charlotte G. Boykin
