Tim, I have a first cousin named Nancy Stone, and another named John Stone, and one named James Stone, and these seem to have filtered down thru past generations. A few years ago I learned from internet some other relatives --great grandsons of William Pitchford Stone: Ron Stone, a retired lawyer of Sacremento CA, and a Vaughn Creel of Dufur, OR near Mt Hood, where our mutual great grandfather was buried .
My mother was born here in the Indian Territory in 1906 a year before OK became a state, and died in 2006, over 100 years old. I feel all of the head of household Stones on the 1850 census of Forsyth Co were brothers. In addition, I'm kin to Jonathan Stone-1830 census of Gwinnett Co,GA--and Eleanor Buckner on same census. Eleanor was born in VA and mother of Candas and Charlotte Buckner. Candas is wife of my GGGF Wiley Stone,b. SC in 1803. Maybe something will surface to show how our Stone kin are related.bob
