Ancestry of NANCY BROWN (SISK)

NANCY BROWN was married to Albert Singleton SISK on November 4, 1866. Two of their daughters were Arizona and Mary Elisabeth (my great grandmother). I've been able to trace the SISK family back to Ireland, but I haven't been able to find any information about the BROWN family.

I've been told by a family member that my great grandmother was half Cherokee. Maybe that's why I can't find anything about N. BROWN's family.

Note: N. BROWN & A. SISK were married in Clarkesville.
