From: Tombstone Inscriptions of Hall County (GA)compiled by Sybil McRay. This book is available at the Hall Co. Library (to view as well as to purchase).

"From Gainesville, go hwy 23 to Blackshear Place, turn left on Hwy 53 to Chestnut Mountain and go to Marell Farm, owned in 1967 by a Mr. Lott. This is part of land once owned by Francis Bell and later by Jane Bell Hudgins.

"This is the cemetery in which Francis Bell is said to be buried. It is logical since he once owned the land. His dau. Jane Bell and husband, Beverly Hudgins, and their oldest dau. Mary Brown, and wife of a son, Isabella Hudgins-wife of Francis Bell Hudgins, are buried in this cemetery. Everyone with a grave marker is a descendant of Francis Bell."
