I am searching for information on my great grand parents, HENRY CLAY THOMAS and VICTORIA ADELINE SUDDERTH and their ancestors.
Henry Clay Thomas was born in HALL COUNTY, GEORGIA on August 01, 1856. Victoria Adeline Sudderth was born in SUGAR HILL near BUFORD, GWINNETT COUNTY, GEORGIA on October 18, 1860. Henry Clay Thomas and Victoria Adeline Sudderth were married in Gwinnett County, Georgia in October 16, 1879, where their first son, JAMES LEONARD THOMAS, was born in 1880. Henry Clay Thomas's parents were JOHN THOMAS, who was born in HALL COUNTY, GEORGIA, and ELIZABETH ANN "BESSIE" (or BETSEY) WILLINGHAM, who was also born in Georgia. HENRY CLAY and VICTORIA may have lived for a time in CARROLL COUNTY, GEORGIA, as did his parents JOHN and ELIZABETH THOMAS. Victoria Adeline Sudderth's parents were WILLIAM P. "TUT BILL" SUDDERTH, JR., born on April 03, 1822 in SUGAR HILL near BUFORD, GWINNETT COUNTY, GEORGIA and SARAH ANN MILLER, born on March 07, 1830 in BUFORD, GWINNETT COUNTY, GEORGIA. William P. "Tut Bill" Sudderth, Jr. and Sarah Ann Miller were married September 17, 1853 in GWINNETT COUNTY, GEORGIA. From Gwinnette county both of these families moved to CLEBURNE COUNTY, ALABAMA. Sarah Ann died and William P. married J. AMANDA MITCHELL. Henry Clay and Victoria Adeline moved their family to FRANKLIN COUNTY, ALABAMA. After Victoria's death on August 01, 1908, Henry Clay moved to LAWENCE COUNTY, TENNESSEE.
