I am trying to find out some details about William Patterson b. 1857/58 who married Susanna Tatum, daughter of Moses Tatum. This William Patterson, known as Baugh, was the brother I believe, of my ancestor, Mary Patterson. Their parents were Jerry Patterson and Elizabeth Sarah [Brown?]. All of the other siblings, Elizabeth, John, Mary, and Andrew, married in Gilmer County.
I have yet to find the intact family in a census, which I should have been able to do in 1870 before any of the children married. I have found all of the siblings, but only after marriage (with the exception of John, whom I found as a teenager living with his father's brother, Fields Patterson in Gilmer County 1880).
William was reportedly born in Pickens County. If that is so, one would expect the family to be in the area in 1860, at which point William and Elizabeth had been born.
Can anyone see if William H. "Baugh" Patterson and/or Susanna Tatum are mentioned in the Hall County Heritage book?
