I have looked everywhere that I can think of for this school. I hope SOMEONE out there knows something about!
The school was named Mt Vernon Academy. I have a geography book copyrighted in 1881. It has 'Mt Vernon Acad' stamped on the front page. It is a teacher's edition. Also, stamped on the front cover is 'WP Bell'. WP was my grandfather, William Pinkney Bell. Suppossedly, he was a teacher there.
