A Barrett Surname project is well under way. If you think you are related to John Barrett of Hall Co., GA or his father, Reuben Barrett, who died in Greenville Co., SC March 3, 1814 you now have a chance to prove it. We have three samples of DNA from descendants of Reuben, two of them descend from his son John. Their results are exact matches, thus we feel we have a good base for this family. Have your DNA tested. If you match, you share a common ancestor. If you don't match you can be sure you don't have a common ancestor. If you don't match with this family you might match with other families in the data base now or in the future.
