Looking for info on Major John Wooten & Mary Sims Wooten. Major John died from a blow to the head with a rifle stock in 1794. Lived in Hancock Co. until, after moving from Fairfield Co. South Carolina, he died. ?#1 Where is Major John buried??
John & Mary had children, John(1759); Polly(1760/1764);Hardy(1765);Nancy Ann(1770); Matthew(1774/1775) & Alcey(unk). Any info. On Major John and/or John(1759) will be greatly Appreciated. The John -1759 is the father of Willis Wooten found in Jasper/Morgan/Clayton Counties in Ga., that has been the brick wall for the Willis's line. Does anyone know where John 1759 was in 1794? Thank you & have a good day.

Mel Wootan
