I am not sure that this will be helpful but it is all I have on your surname. My grandfather had a cousin that married someone named Dura Shadrix. Noticing the Shadrix name on my online tree, a Shadrix researcher sent me the following information:

Dura Shadrix was married to Wade Cartwright and later to David Hess. She was a daughter of Robert Marion Shadrix and Ila Lenora (Baxter) Shadrix. She is buried in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Bremen, GA.
She was a sibling to the following:

Haskell "Hack" Shadrix
Vester W. "Bay" Shadrix
