I think if you go to Google then type in Early HIstory of Harris County, Ga. you might be able to read about the county which was formed in 1827. Roosevelta State Park and Callaway Gardens are there. It borders on Muscogee County and has a lovely camping area known as Pine Mountain park. It is home to the West Point Textile Mills.
