Cleola/Milners Crossroads/Oak Mountain location

The three mentioned above are located at about the same place.

Cleola no longer exist as it folded many years ago.

Milners crossroads district was in reference to the US census area.

Oak Mountain was a railway station and maybe a small community. The Railway was removed many years ago and adbandoned.

Oak Mountain Baptist Church never existed but there was a Baptist Church at Oak Mountain.

The church does not exist any longer.

All of these locations are located off US27 and SR85 2 miles + or - South of Shiloh, Ga. to the West of US27.

The road connected to 27 is Oak Mountain Road. It travels East to West somewhat. Go West on Oak Mountain and bare to the right staying on Oak Mountain Rd. You will come to "Milners Store".

"Milners Crossroan" is about two miles West of US27.

The "young" Mr. Milner I talked to has restored his family store but it is no longer a public place. He told me during a visit a couple of years back his "store" and the railroad was the focal point of the community.

It is a nice drive but there is nothing there but memories.

To get to the Old Shiloh Baptist Church cemetery follow 116 west out of Shiloh for about 2 miles. The church and cemetery is on the North of the highway.
