The Social Security Death Index shows that William C. Willis died 29 Jun 2008 at Toccoa, Stephens Co., GA and that he was born 8 Jun 1922. The 1930 census of Hart Co., Shoal Creek Dist., shows the household of Francis Willis, age 28, self and parents born GA, wife Katie, born AL, father born SC, mother born GA, with child W. C.,male, age 7, child Junior, age 6, child Woline (male), age 3 yrs. 9 mos., and child Mozelle, age 1 year 7 months. It is my belief that the Francis Willis above is the Francis Willis who was a son of William Starnes Willis. Therefore, if this is correct, the William Clarence Willis who died 2008 in Toccoa was a nephew of your Francis Marion Willis and not a first cousin. The children of William Clarence Willis, if any, might well know the identity of their Great Great grandfather who would have been the father of your Francis Marion and his brother William Starnes Willis.
