I am taking a long shot with this post since the person I am looking for probably did not live in heard co., but I have tired all the other boards and I am hoping maybe someone has what I need here. I have hit a brick wall with Martha M. Daniel born 1869 she was married to Henry Lee Adair Nov. 30, 1890 in Paulding Co. GA I am trying to find out more on Her. She died sometime between 1903 and 1905 when my grandmother Ida Adair Paschal was a baby. (They had children prior to Ida) In 1906 Henry remarried to Martha A (Ada) Stone and had more children. They eventually ended up in Heard Co. Henry’s older children were not allowed to ask about their mother and her name was not mentioned. All my grandmother knew about her was that she was to she was 1/2 Indian (Creek) and never was given any more information about her. I have been trying for many years to find Martha M. Daniel and keep hitting brick walls. I can confirm the marriage so I know I have the name right, but no birth records or family info has been found so far. Someone suggested Martha might have been the daughter of James and Harrett Daniel since they had a daughter Marthena who might have been called "Martha". Marthena would be the right age, but in a RootsWeb World Connect submission for this family it is indicated that Martha married a H. McPherson instead of an Adair. However this Daniel family lived next door to Henry Adair family so it is a lead., and would make sense that the children would marry since they knew each other. Now to the question Does anyone have a record for a Martha M. Daniel marrying a Henry Lee Adair? Or more information on James Daniel" and his wife "Harrett A. Daniel". Was Harrett the step mom? On the records I have seen she would only have been about 11 years old when she gave birth to Marthena, which is not impossible but I do tend to think unlikely even in those days. I don’t want to list this family in my records until I can confirm more. Any one who can help me please PLEASE contact me. Thank you Notify Administrator about this message?
