Marriage Lookup abt.1855

I am in need of a Good Genealogy Samaritan who will look up a Heard Co. marriage from about 1855 or so. Joseph Henderson married an "Elizabeth M. R." born in 1838. I haven't been able to find any marriage information on them, but I feel sure they married in Heard Co.GA.

Does the county library have genealogical records? Are there marriage records from that far back at the County courthouse?

I would really appreciate any help or advice on where to look.
