Looking for any information and documentation on George Washington Darden (b. 1796 - d. 1883 Heard Co., GA). His first wife was Elizabeth Germany (d. 1866 ?). He remarried but not sure to whom. I wrote the Probate Court in Heard Co., GA and received a very nice letter back stating they did not have a copy of his Will. Apparently there was at least one fire at the c ourthouse after his death. I am searching for documentation proving he was the father of Mary Susan Darden that married James Thomas Longino in 1844. CAn anyone help or point me on the right direction? E Russell
