I am searching for the names of Franklin Alexander's (my 3rd GGF) parents. I have traced Franklin back from Texas to here and this is as far as I have gotten, so far. If anyone can help me it would be very much appreciated.
Franklin (my 3rd GGF) was born in February 1833, Henry County GA. He married Lucy E. Christain of the same county in about 1854. Together they had 6 children, James H.(my 2nd GGF), Mary E., Franklin P., Julius C., Antionette J., and H.W. Franklin and Lucy moved to east Texas sometime prior to the 1880 census in Shelby County Texas. Sometime prior to the 1900 census Franklin and Lucy moved to Cherokee County Texas, some of their children moved with them and some stayed in Shelby County. Lucy died in 1899. Franklin remarried in 1900 to Nancy, that is all I know about her. Franklin died in either 1913 or 1919, conflicting information. Franklin is buried in Maple Grove Cenetery in Henderson, TX, he is buried next to Lucy and son H.W. I found on the 1850 census of Henry County an entry that looks like Franklin to me, the age is right, if it is the correct one it appears he had a brother named Uriah or Urias, and maybe another. It appears that his mother is on the census listed as M. only,his father does not appear. If anyone is interested in what I have of the decendants in Texas I would be happy to share what I have.
