I am researching the Caswell Hearn family that arrived in Houston County, GA from Sumter, SC in about 1827… Caswell's daughter, Sarah Ann, b. ca. 1828, married Marion Self in 1847, and they had at least five children. Marion died in the Civil War, and by 1870 Sarah Ann had remarried to an unknown Sullivan, but it looks like he died too... she was widow Sullivan in 1870. I am trying to find out what happened to Sarah Self and the rest of the children (Mary 1847, Leoliza 1853, Sarah E. 1855, Eliza 1858, and Helen/Casandra 1860) Also, was Marion the brother of Columbus, Lott Self, et al.? Also trying to find information on the family of Caswell’s older daughter, Priscilla Hearn, b. SC ca. 1825. She was married in 1844 to Abel Sullivan, b. GA ca. 1821. They had children Alexander 1844, Caswell 1846, Sarah Ellender 1848, William Chesley 1850, and Mahala 1853. Priscilla apparently died about 1855, and Abel remarried to a Nancy Jackson in 1858. Save for William Chesley, this family seems to pretty much disappear from the records after the 1860 census. Also, seeking the parents of Abel Sullivan. Likely that Abel is brother of Daniel Sullivan b. GA ca. 1818, who was married in 1847 to Caswell’s daughter, Elizabeth Jane, and to the above Sullivan, who was married briefly to Sarah Ann Hearn. robert holley miami, FL Notify Administrator about this message?
